BIG NEWS! My new book is coming out on 9 November 2026!![]()

Don’t Say Hiraeth: Faith, identity and a changing Wales
It’s a personal journey through faith, Welsh identity, chapel culture and a changing Wales. Along the way, there are stories of growing up evangelical, finding my feet in ministry, burnout, a brush with the law, and discovering that faith is often far messier — and more interesting — than we’re led to believe.
But beneath the stories is a bigger question: as the Wales we once knew changes, do we really understand what we’re losing — and what might yet be worth rediscovering?
It’s not quite a memoir, not quite a theology book, and certainly not an academic book. Hopefully, it’s an honest, occasionally funny (by my standard!), and thought-provoking contribution to a conversation I think we need to have.
Out 9 November 2026
Available to pre-order on Kindle TODAY, paperback from 9.11.26, in some shops before Christmas.
Why have I written this book in English?
Welsh is my first language, and the language in which I live most of my life. But I believe a minority-language perspective on faith, culture and identity deserves a place in the wider conversation. After all, there’s hardly a shortage of English-speaking voices telling us how the world works. So, I make no apologies for pulling up a chair at the table and publishing this very Welsh book in English!
